Tree Care

We at Harder are in the business of providing you with the expert attention and professional services to help you, not only enrich your landscape, but also extend the life, beauty and value of your trees.  Our seasonal tree care provides fertilizing and pruning.  Throughout the year we offer pest and disease control, including regular inspections.  Our certified arborists can provide you with expert advice regarding hazard evaluation.  Should it be decided that a tree on your property is in need of removal; our experts are available to take down any tree of any size and grind the resulting stump to grade.  We also offer a variety of emergency services, year 'round, to handle any fallen trees or hazardous limbs made so by the weather.  During especially inclement weather, we are on call to remove limbs on or threatening houses, cars and garages or putting lives in danger.

We are a licensed and certified utility tree care contractor for the Keyspan Energy Group, now part of National Grid.  We employ tree crews specifically dedicated to keeping the power lines clear for the Long Island Power Authority (L.I.P.A.).  Since 1989, we began serving L.I.L.C.O., keeping lines clear and responding to emergency situations regarding trees and threatened or damaged power lines.  L.I.L.C.O. has since evolved into Keyspan and L.I.P.A., but Harder has remained a dedicated tree service provider.

Along with providing removal, hazard tree evaluation and utility tree trim services, our arboricultural experts are available to perform routine, safety and ornamental pruning services on your trees.  With over 50 years of combined experience in the industry, our pruning crews are capable of handling any request.  We handle everything from municipal pruning contracts and shaping ornamental backyard trees on Long Island to pruning for health and construction clearance on sites in New York City and more.  If you have a tree or trees that you would like evaluated, contact us today!

Over the years, our tree care clients have ranged from New York City municipal agencies to private homeowners.  We have provided services to several major golf courses on Long Island, as well as many local universities.

Whether you know you need work done or you just have a question, call or email today and one of our certified arborists will help you!
